When your company decides to hire a foreigner to work, there are key steps to take when hiring foreign nationals in Malaysia.

Foreign nationals are permitted to work in Malaysia for up to 10 years. To get started, the Employer must apply for a specific work permit based on their nationality/age/education qualification/position/wages.

During employment, the Employer is required to register the Foreign nationals with SOCSO and provide social security protection, including medical benefits and disability coverage.

Besides that, employers also need to pay a Foreign nationals levy imposed by the government.
