Employer’s Responsibilities - HRD Corp Contribution

The Human Resources Corporation (HRD Corp) is a fund created from levies collected from employers in manufacturing and service sectors, both mandatory and optional registrants. Its main purpose is to support training and skill improvement for the Malaysian workforce.

Requirement of register HRDcorp:

No of Employee	Contribution Rate
1 ~ 4 Malaysia employee	- No contribution needed
5 ~ 9 Malaysia employee	- Option to register - 0.5% of monthly wages of employees
10 Malaysia employee and above	- Compulsory to register - 1% of monthly wages of employees

*An employer must make monthly payments on or before the 15th of the month

Training requirement:

Items	Description
Training program	- In-House training which is available at your place, a hotel - Public training either Local/Overseas option - Coaching and Mentoring training of workplace-focused for ongoing development - Job Coach Program Tailored for individuals with disabilities - E-learning training - Development Programs (full-time /part-time Diploma, Degree, Master & Ph.D.)
Claimable cost	- Training fees - Meal allowance, air-ticket or transportation charges - Training materials - Training Facilities Rental
Training duration	- Minimum 4 Hours (1/2 day)
Training application & Claim submission	- Application must be submitted via eTRiS under Skim Bantuan Latihan (SBL) BEFORE attend training - Claim document required to attach the air-ticket receipt, and invoice as proof of payment - Training claims must be submitted within six (6) months after training completion - For Exception to the HRD Corp Claimable Course (SLB) scheme, claims must be submitted by organizer companies before the submission of claims by participating employers.
