Unpaid Leave

The Employment Act of 1955 doesn't specifically address unpaid leave. However, employers generally cannot enforce unpaid leave without mutual agreement.

Manual Calculation of Unpaid Leave:

a) Determine the number of working days in the current month.

b) Calculate the employee's daily pay (monthly salary divided by working days in a month).

c) Multiply the daily pay by the total days of unpaid leave.

This ensures a fair approach when employees need to take unpaid leave.
